Sinus lift
Sinus lift is a procedure in oral surgery, which deals with the elevation of the floor of the sinuses. This is a procedure in which the bone that is lost in the upper area of the molars and premolars is replaced, most often as a result from previous loss of teeth. This procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and the procedure itself does not hurt.
It is possible to insert implant only if there is enough volume in the jaw bone that will hold the implant. When the tooth is lost, the volume of the bone can decrease. Sinus lift procedure consists of upgrading or adding bone to the the sinus cavity above the upper jaw.
