Apioectomy is a surgical procedure, which is performed at the Imed polyclinic and in which pathological contents (cyst or granuloma) are removed from the bone in the tip of the tooth together with the top layer of the root.
These oral surgery procedures are performed at the Imed polyclinic only after exhausting all possible conservative methods of root canal treatments, and when the inflammation (granuloma or cyst) is still present and when this is the last chance to save the tooth. Causes of cysts are different, however a precondition is the appearance of epithelial tissue from which the cyst develops. Surgically we can remove a part of or the entire cyst.
